IBS 1 Hebrews 11:6


(NLT)  Hebrews 11:6   ---   And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

 

We are the distributors of what God produces. The feeding of the 5,000, the disciples never produced any of the food that was miraculously given. They simply had the faith that Jesus could feed about 10,000 men women and children with some bread and a couple fish. The disciples took what Jesus did and brought what He had produced to the people. They had faith and it pleased God. The reward for their faithfulness was twelve extra baskets of left overs. We struggle to realize God is all powerful because we can't wrap our mind around infinite power. How are we supposed to comprehend what is impossible to understand? We can't comprehend it but we can have faith in God that He can. Think about how much more we can do if we have ultimate faith in God? Never doubting when He calls us. He could use us in so many more ways and do things through us that He couldn't if we doubted God. Being open and having faith that God can do ANYTHING through us is what God desires. Not only does it please him, but it also is more edifying to the person being faithful, along with the body of Christ because of the work that God is free to do in us

        My application to this verse is to be faithful in the little things. I'm going to start to share what I read in my devotions every day to a guy every morning.

1Pe 4:7   But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.   1 Pedro 4:7    Ya se acerca el fin de todas las cosas.     1Ti 3:16   Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.                     I was spending time thinking about what I means to be "vindicated be the Spirit" this word took my attention and I proceeded to look it up. In the Webster's dictionary it says literally this. " To prove or to be just or valid."   The Spirit proved that Jesus He is just and valid. This was an interesting note to me. But what is the mystery? The mystery to me is this, If Jesus did this in godliness, how do you become godly? All throughout 1 Timothy chapter 3 it talks about the qualifications of bishops and deacons. It lists practical things like "don't be given over to much wine" and "speak with integrity". But the root of all these things is godliness.
