3Jn 1:14   But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.   3Jn 1:15    La paz sea contigo. Los amigos te saludan. Saluda a los amigos, a cada uno por nombre.                   This is a verse that hit me recently. As right now we are heading to school and there is going to be hundreds of kids, over a thousand actually. "Greet the friends by name" has hit me deep. There has been an emphasis on remembering names here but I didn’t know it was in the bible. I am actually writing this a couple of hours before I have to go to school. This has convicted me a lot as I haven’t had a heavy mentality to remember names. But even Paul recognizes the importance of addressing one another by their names. It brings respect and shows care to not forget them. That we actually love that person to remember them by their name. As we are going to the schools, our main goal is to share Ch
Mar 16:19   So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. Mar 16:20   And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.                     Today I was focusing on the resurrection of Christ. And the importance of it. Neil was speaking on it and it really hit me something. If the resurrection isn't portrayed than an all powerful God isn't portrayed. God said he will bruise the heel of the serpent (I believe is referencing satan) and that comes in the form of the resurrection. It's the , "even if you kill me I'll still come back. There is NOTHING you can do to beat me. And on top of everything I will use the people I died for to do my work as I command them." It's the biggest spiritual slap to face in the history of ever. Jesus gave satan the largest defeat that has ever been and now he has to live kn
Gen 28:19   And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first. Gen 28:20   And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, Gen 28:21   So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: Gen 28:22   And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.           This is an example of the heart of those in the bible days that I struggle to have in these days after Christ. It's the thought of dedicating everything to God. I arrive and leave places without ever thinking about how God put me there and all the things he did there in me whilst I was there. Here we see Jacob renaming a place which translates into "house of God". And even after that he set a pillar in that place so he
Luk 15:18   I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, Luk 15:19   And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.                   This is a story that I have gone over a lot in recent moments. It has been a period of God showing me what he would like for me to know. And even revealing things to me about my own story that I didn't even know about myself. The whole story gives me a picture of many attributes of God and one I never realized before what faithfulness. I recently watched a war movie that depicted amazing loyalty and faithfulness from those soldiers to their country. And I think it's God's timing for me to watch that and also see the faithfulness of the father in the parable that Jesus told. There is something about a man who would give his life for the freedoms of the people he hasn’t even met. Likewise, There is something special about a fathe
1Ti 3:16   Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.                     I was spending time thinking about what I means to be "vindicated be the Spirit" this word took my attention and I proceeded to look it up. In the Webster's dictionary it says literally this. " To prove or to be just or valid."   The Spirit proved that Jesus He is just and valid. This was an interesting note to me. But what is the mystery? The mystery to me is this, If Jesus did this in godliness, how do you become godly? All throughout 1 Timothy chapter 3 it talks about the qualifications of bishops and deacons. It lists practical things like "don't be given over to much wine" and "speak with integrity". But the root of all these things is godliness.
Gal 5:1   It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.                     I find that so often new age Christianity has been reburdened by tradition. What I mean by that is the idea that there is only one way to please God. "Praying" can only be done by closing your eyes, sometimes only by bowing our heads. But nobody really follows that rule… we say "Let's have a time of prayer" but when we are talking casually that can't be considered as a time of prayer. Or "Fellowship" has to include deep one on ones or maybe music for worshiping and most defiantly a potluck meal together. But what about when you don't speak the same language with the kids that you are around? How do have fellowship with them? Just having put in time with these kids here playing soccer with them, and attempting to communicate with them has brought a deeper fellowship than I&#
Rev 10:9   And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.   Apocalipsis 10:9      Me acerque' al a'ngel y le pedi que diera el rollo. E'l me dijo: "To'malo y Cometelo. Te amargara' las entran~as. Pero en la boca te sabra' dulce como la miel."                   Pastor Luis shared on this and it really spoke to me. It's a very strange passage. Eating a scroll and it turns from sweet in the mouth to bitter in the stomach. A very similar thing happens to Ezekiel in the Old Testament. It says the when the Lord spoke to him through that scroll, it was the sweetest thing he could imagine. But when he went to share it to a rejecting people, it has a feeling of wormwood. When all he wanted to do is share the word of God and the people reject him, It hurts. But in light of what Ezekiel just wen
