Joh 15:15  No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

NKJV

Juan 15:15  Ya no les llamo sirvientes, porque el sirviente no sabe lo que hace su amo. Ahora los llamo amigos, porque les he ensen~ando todo lo que he oi'do decir a mi Padre.

Jesus calls me friend. Jesus doesn't see me as a slave that has no freedom and am only here to work my life away for Christ with no choice. No body has a relationship with a slave, we have relationships with our friends. And we have a best friend in Jesus Christ who wants to be our best friend. That's crazy! We are bond-servants, yes. But what is different about us as Christ followers compared to those on earth who are literal slaves, is that we know what our Master is doing. We have our commands from our Master, but those same commands are given to us by our Best Friend. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." This is our command that we have been given from our Best Friend. Sometimes I can this of this as a chore I have to do as a slave to God, Chained up to his authority. But I can now see this a command from my Best Friend that I know He will go with me.
